Posts: 1 best flyfishing near charlotte 03/03/06 at 08:51:52   hi im coming down on 3-12 to take my grandson fishing need help were to take a 12 year old boy trout fishing on his birthday .prefer a cath and release area.would like to show him woolybooger and nyph fishing.  thanksdave Back to top       IP Logged Dan Guest Re: best flyfishing near charlotte Reply #1 - 04/18/06 at 16:15:50   I posted a similar message a little while back and didn't get much of a response.  From my research, you have to get a little ways from Mecklenburg County to find trout water.  I went two hours away to the Green River in Polk County and had a blast in the catch and release section (with spinners).  Good luck and let me know how you do if you find somewhere.
