| Stone Mountain State Park, located near Elkin, North Carolina
hosts some of the areas best fishing. In this state park, there are numerous
classifications of streams to fish. Also, there is a special "Fish For Fun "
section called Bull Head Creek. Here you pay a set amount for one of the eight
sections and you can fish that entire section for the whole day. Streams in
Stone Mountain include the Roaring River, Stone Mountain Creek, and a few other
smaller streams.
